Brazil Edges Chile in a Thriller

Brazil edges Chile in a thriller and is through to the quarter finals…

One goal by David  Luiz early in the first half gave Brazil the lead, but Alexis Sanchez would pull that goal back minutes later from a Hulk mistake inside the box…sending a nice grounder into the left corner of the goal.

First Half

In the second half, Neymar missed a header in the 80th minute from a Dani Alves cross…when he headed straight to the goalie.

The two teams took turn coming at each other, but the defenders kept defending. Hulk would eventually send a blast toward goal from inside the box in the 83rd minute but the Chile goalie was equal to the task.

Second Half

In a very nervy moment for Brazil, Alexis Sanchez dribble one inside the box in the 90th minute, tried to pull the trigger but couldn’t, the ball would eventually be swatted away by the Brazilian defense.

With three minutes added, the game would end in a 1-1 tie…and go into extra time

Extra time produce zero goals and so the teams went to penalty kicks which Brazil would win 3-2
