Update (8/28/09): Brigette Foster-Hylton proves that her win in Berlin was not a fluke!

Just one week after her world championship win in Berlin, Foster-Hylton did it again, this time at the Golden league series in Zurich Switzerland.

Running against a strong field, similar to the one in Berlin she nipped the Bejing Olympic Champion, Dawn Harper, at the line in another well executed race.

Foster-Hylton is now beginning to establish herself as a force to be reckoned with this event...and is looking to continue her winning ways.

On August 19, 2009, Brigette Foster-Hylton accomplished a feat never before achieved in Jamaican sports. She won the women's 100m hurdles at the world championships in Berlin!

see video below...

In an event usually dominated by the United states, Foster-Hylton would not be denied. She ran a fast, clean race, and powered her way to the front of the world class field.

The 'red hot' favorite, Dawn Harper, came in seventh after hitting several hurdles along the way.

Foster-Hylton made no mistake about it. She took advantage of the gaping opportunity and won going away in style.

No one expected her to win!...which is why when she won it surprised everyone including herself. Truly, tonight was her night.

She too is riding high on the swelling tide of Jamaica's success as she add yet another gold medal to already growing number.

...and in the process, she did herself and the country extremely proud!
