Too many years on the fringes…and not getting in…and back to square one waiting and hoping to get in for another four years.
The captain believe better fields and facilities along with focusing on team play mastery will do the trick.
With better fields, young players will be taught to play the short passing game…as opposed to the traditional long ball. The focus will be on teamwork as opposed to individuality.
The one thing he did not mention was a football academy…the place where youngsters can be taught the game a from scratch and develop into professionals. One has to wonder if that’s what he really has in mind.
This way when the world cup comes around all the coach need to do is pull from the professional pipeline and get them to play together…SUCCESSFULLY.
This exactly what Germany, Brazil, England, France, Argentina…and all the other world class teams do…

We already have a slew of young talents, they just need the right system to develop their talents in…just like track and field.
Jamaica has some of the most athletic youngsters. It is a shame that we have tried repeatedly and failed to develop our football talent…except for a few who manage to make it in Europe without the help a real development system.
Can you image what will happen this finally occurs. The sky is the limit.
