Dwight Thomas

After several tries, Dwight Thomas finally won the 100m hurdle at the golden league in Zurich (August 28, 2009).

...in the video above, Thomas is almost out of the picture on the far right (one of the lanes you are placed in when you are not expected to win).

This is rather interesting because last year this time, Thomas was running the 100m sprint for Jamaica.

After dominating at the high school level at High Point High school in Beltsville Maryland...the future looked really bright.

...that was, of course, until a gentleman by the name of Usain Bolt came on the scene and raised the bar to a rather high level.

Now it is a little bit more difficult to make the Jamaican sprint team...unless of course, you plan to run consistently below 10 seconds.

Thomas realized the difficulty and decided to switch from the sprint event to the hurdles...and now he is set to excel.

Hopefully, he is now ready to raise the bar in the event to the next level...
