Q: My hair is about 6 inches long. Would I be able to get dreadlocks now are have to wait longer. Because I am tired of walking around with an afro.
A: Six inches? Man you have a lot of hair to start doing your thing.
You need to get cracking! Start twisting now (if that's what you plan to do) so that it can continue to grow with the twist...from the root.
...or, if you just plan to let it lock on its own...which we call the "neglect method", then stop combing it. This method take a long time and your dreads may not look so good. Some may be thick, others skinny, and so on...
But! whatever method you choose to use, it's time to get going.
