Jamaican Chicken Soup


1/4 lb Chicken parts (combinations of breast, thigh, legs, back)

2 small Irish Potato

1/4 lb yellow yam (or white yam)

1 sprig thyme

2 EscallionJamaican chicken soup

1 scotch bonnet pepper

1 pack Cock soup

1 cup of flower

4 cups of water

1 pinch of salt



1. Put chicken in water and bring to boil

2. As the chicken boils, peel Irish potato and yam, cut up and put in the pot.

3. Add the salt to four and kneed into a dough. Make small flour dumplings and add to boiling pot

4. let it boil for about 5 minutes

6. Add the packet of cock soup

7. Add the whole scotch bonnet pepper

8. Cut up thyme and add to pot

9. Add escallion

10. cover pot and boil for about 10 minutes on a reasonable low flame until cooked.

11. Serve.
