Q: Why is Port Royal so famous?
A: It was notorious for its wealth and loose morals in the 17th century. It was a place where just about everyone went to spend and enjoy their riches back in those days...
It harbored pirates, cut-throats, prostitutes, and criminals and was once referred to as the Sodom of the New world.
it was destroyed by earthquake on June 7, 1692 and it sunk beneath the ocean. You can still see the city under water today. It is now a tourist attraction on the island...
