Rafting on the Martha Brae river

Q: Could you please advise us of a source to contact in regards to Rafting on the Martha brae river? We would be arriving by cruise ship in Falmouth next year. I have written to jamaicarafting.com a number of times and no one has responded. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

A: Hi Betty, Here's what I have for you. If you plan to stay within the Montego Bay, Negril areas, the rafting village will pick you up at your hotel, take you rafting and back...if want. Your trip will include a complimentary drink and visit to Martha's garden.

Your other option is to check with your hotel to see if they have provision for a trip to the river...they usually have tours which includes this trip.

The raft can only carry two and the cost is $60us for both on the 1 1/4 hour trip for two. If there is a third person, the extra cost will be $75us.

For five or more people there is a discount (didn't say how much.
