ReggaeBoyz and Egypt Played to a 2-2 Tie in London today. Two brilliant goals, one  by Simon Dawkins in the 27th minute and the other by Joel Grant in the 38th minute gave the reggaeboyz a draw against Egypt in London today.

It was the Egyptians who struck first, when Mohamed El Nenny climb in the air in front of three Jamaican defenders  and connected with a sweet header which went flying by Jacombe Barrett into the back of the net. The Jamaicans equalized in the 27th minute then took the lead again in the 38th minute…and held it until the 72 minute when _______ picked out Bassin Morsi with a searching pass through the air inside the penalty area. Morsi got in behind the defense and finish with aplumb.

ReggaeBoyz and Egypt Played to a 2-2 TieThe Jamaicans held their own as a nice combination of passes ended up with C. Humphrey sending in a low cross on the first touch from the right side of the field into the penalty area, where Dawkins ran on to the ball and finished with a nice flick pass the Egyptian goalkeeper. The Jamaican crowd went wild in celebration.

On the 38th minute grant tried to send a pass to Seaton at the top of the 18,  who manage to get a foot onto the ball and played it back right into the path of Grant who was following up his pass. With a nifty move he cut in to the left side of the penalty area and unleashed a left footer to the corner of the goal in the midst of four on-rushing Egyptian defenders.

It was the Egyptians time to celebrate.

This was an excellent performance by the Boyz, who went from two losses to a tie. It is clear that they are getting confident with every game as the score and their on-field display shows.

The next game will be against France in Lille on June 8th

Hopefully this time they can get a win this time…
