Visiting Jamaica with US currency verses Jamaican currency.

I'll be traveling to Jamaica for the first time within the next couple of months, but I was wondering if it's better to carry U.S. currency or jamaican currency? or both? And if both, what would be the ratio of either.

US currency is better. when you get there you can always get the Jamaican equivalent at any bank. The exchange rate varies. Right now it is somewhere between $70 and $80 Jamaican dollars for one US dollar.
