O: What are the traditions of the Jamaican people? How do they celebrate it?

A: Jamaican traditions are just elements of our way of life. We love to eat drink, dance and sing to reggae music, lovers rock...play cricket, football, table tennis...enjoy boys champs, girls champs, world champs, regional champs, Olympics...eat our favorites: rice and peas, chicken, jerk chicken, curry chicken, patty, coco bread, and so on...take pride in our education system, worship our God, enjoy our families and friends, celebrate our holidays: heroes day, independence, christmas, and so on...work hard when we can find a job, find a way to survive when we can't.

...always maintaining that hope and positive outlook on life regardless of circumstances...take care of our visitors who come to enjoy our beautiful little Island, cherish our athletic gifts...and just simply enjoy life...

...in addition, value and cherish our pioneers of reggae music and the rastafari way of life...among other world renown Jamaican traits.
