What is the main type of family structure in Jamaica?
A: There is some nucleus family structure, but the main one is the extended family. Even in today's time this still exist in Jamaica and plays an important role.
Parents may live together for a long time, never get married, have children, have to work, and need help with the kids. Granparents may live down the road or in the same house, and help to take care of the children until the parents come home.
