Why I bacame a Rasta

by Dray
(U.S.A.)

The reason why I became a Rasta is because I felt I had been called to do so for so long. I grew up going to churches and singing their songs but it never felt right.

I always new in my heart something was missing. Long story short, I was always on the hunt to find the truth and 2 weeks before my 21st birthday that truth came my way.

Now at 31 going through many struggles living in Babylon, I'm still ridding myself of what I was brought up to believe and how I was taught things should be and how I should live my life. I must say the parents don't agree but I'm grown now and I make my own decisions whether right or wrong in anybody's eyes.

I thank Jah everyday for giving I the strength to push foward and rise another day. Although I still struggle with the eating habits and nicotine addictions I picked up in my early teens, I have not giving up the fight and I know Jah is by my side and will help me overstand those evils.

Jah bless
