Women Voting Rights

Q: In what year were women allowed to vote in Jamaica? Were they allowed to vote the same time as men?

A: They were allowed in 1944, the year of Jamaica’s first election, with universal adult voting rights given to all (both male and female)... which Sir Alexander Bustamante’s of the Jamaica Labor Party (JLP) won.
